Depending on the model, Köttermann specifies minimum permissible airflow rates of approximately 450–800 m³/h and specified airflow rates of approximately 480–840 m³/h. Actual requirements depend on the selected cabinet dimensions and laboratory ventilation system.

EXPLORIS® fume cupboards can also be equipped with Köttermann TouchTronic, which combines fume cupboard control and monitoring functions in an electronic touchscreen interface.

Application Area

Köttermann general-purpose fume cupboards are suitable for chemistry laboratories, universities, research and development facilities, quality control laboratories, pharmaceutical and cosmetic facilities, food analysis laboratories, educational laboratories and industrial testing environments.

They are particularly suited to experiments, sample preparation and analytical work involving organic solvents, weak acids and diluted inorganic acids.

For high thermal loads, hot concentrated mineral acids, hydrofluoric acid or radioactive substances, a dedicated Köttermann high-performance or specialist fume cupboard should be selected instead.
