Emission of harmful gassed due to chemical processes in laboratories and facilities are really hazardous to environment and human health. Wet filters are used to purify the dirty air from chemical substances, to eliminate the odor and to minimize the fume. This is a chemical process referred to as gas washing. Main principle of gas washing tower (scrubber) is washing dirty gas in specially designed raschig rings that increase the contact surface between the gas and liquid, effectively executing the chemical process commonly referred to as gas adsorption.

Operating Principles of Gas Filters

Polluted gas is drawn from the environment by means of a fan, from top to bottom through raschig rings within the gas washing tower. Meanwhile, water, acting as washing liquid, is distributed by maintenance-free, low-noise pump located at the bottom. Liquid moving from top to bottom and polluted air move through raschig rings together. Following the adsorption that take place inside the raschig rings, which provide a widened surface area to increase the interaction between the liquid and gas, fume is cleaned and up to 96% of pollutants are eliminated.

While polluted air is cleaned, retaining liquid phase becomes polluted and is now highly corrosive. Refeeding of the washing liquid is carried out automatically. Polluted washing liquid is discharged via a large valve. This way, system durability is increased. Following this process, polluted gas is wet filtered and gas discharged to atmosphere complies with limit concentration requirements. This ensures personnel health and work environment safety. Moreover, purified air now complies with harmful gas discharge criteria as per nature standards.

Liquid filter unit designed for gas to be adsorbed is manufactured of stainless and high chemical resistance PP material that is appropriate for the operating temperatures. It has a long life and is durable against corrosive effects of chemical substances in gas. System has low power consumption. These products do not require any extra maintenance and provide maximum washing performance.
